It is interesting that something becomes problematic or worthy of being demonized when young and privileged white males feel that they are being mocked. I can't even count the number of times or pictures that I've seen of young white men wearing black face or in some way mocking what they deem to be "black culture". The student body president, "donned L.L. Bean boots and a Yale University sweater to pose for an Instagram photo depicting what she described as a typical 'Lawrenceville boi': white, Republican, and cockily holding a hockey stick (buzzfeed)."
